En plein air or Plein air painting is the act of painting outdoors. It is unpredictable and less controlled than creating artwork in a studio. My goal as a plein air artist is to capture beautiful landscapes by incorporating what I see and hoping my interpretation of the views comes through the illustration of natural light, color, and movement. My favorite medium to work with is currently watercolor & ink.
Welcome to my page!
Friends call me Hill and I live in idyllic West Seattle with my dog Badger the keeshond. I've been an artist most of my life and enjoy creating work while hiking. When not practicing plein air, I enjoy kayaking, stand up paddleboarding, listening to true crime podcasts, reading about politics and the law, and cooking in my free time.
Please contact me if you are interested in purchasing items or art work. More information and details will be provided upon inquiry. Prints of all artwork can be made available. Original artwork are sold occasionally. I am also available for commissions. I appreciate your patience as I am not a professional artist.
